While cleaning out my office a while back, I re-discovered a Shrinky Dink I made of a conjoined twin skeleton. Inspiration struck and I painted some panels and made more Shrinky Dinks to accompany the skeleton, then life got in the way of crafting and the bits sat on my desk. I decided today's Snow Day task would be to finish these Creepy Panels. The finished product! The bases of these unique wall hangings are Tim Holtz Burlap Panels with a layer of black acrylic paint. I used the same black paint to dry brush the fronts of  Tim Holtz Vignette Panels and painted their sides solid black. While paint dried, I broke out my Shrink Dink paper and traced out old anatomical drawings of skulls, bones, and even a spider using a black Sharpie marker. I cut them out and baked them to make cool tiles. Today is going to be a busy day so I threw together a tag and didn't get photos along the way. Ah well! I used a tag, Distress ink in Black Soot and Candied Apple, Glossy Accents, a Tim Holtz Halloween ephemera piece, a Tim Holtz metal word band with brads, and a Tim Holtz Halloween Clippings sticker. First, I smudged the entire tag in Black Soot. Next, tore the ephemera and inked the edge with Candied Apple. I glued it in place and edged the entire tag in Black Soot. I used my 1/8 inch hole punch and punched two holes for the brads then attached the word band. It took a while to find the right sticker and when I did, I edged it in Black Soot and added it to the tag. The 'string' is a piece of Halloween creepy draping that I cut. I've been waiting to use this particular piece of ephemera and love the pop of color the red ink gives the tag. I had yesterday off so I did a bit of crafting while waiting around for an appointment. I had a to-do list with all of the steps left to finish my Handsome Devil and for Step One, I added the rusting agent to the iron-painted skulls. They took hours to dry and when they dried...no rust. So I waited. This morning there's only a tiny bit of rust. When I get home, I'll need to add another coat of the rusting agent I guess. Sadly, that threw off completion of the rest of the steps. While I grumped about it, I kept busy making another Halloween tag. This one was super easy--just dabbed on Ranger's Distressed Stain in Hickory Smoke on both sides and let it dry. It had a cloudy look to it because the blobs of stain bled together. The moon and skeleton are both Tim Holtz epehmera and I just added black marker to the cut edges of the paper so it didn't look so "new" and put a few foam mounting dots on them to give them a little depth.
