A while back, I was given some unwanted laminate samples and I took them, not knowing what I'd make with them. They were in my junk bin and when I was purging items this summer, they made it to a zipper bag for the "free pile" of our upcoming yard sale. The other day, I thought "Hey, use them to make a more durable tag!" So this little taglet was born. In total, I made seven different ones and had six larger tags left. This tag is inspired by the taglet. Wow, there's only 11 tags to go! Today I made a quick tag because I have things to do. I gathered my tag, Distress Ink in Crushed Olive and Black Soot, a Distress Marker in Black Soot, my last Tim Holtz big witch Ancestor doll, some Tim Holtz metal stars, Tim Holtz Halloween Clippings, and Tim Holtz Halloween Trimmings. First, I inked the tag in Crushed Olive. I finally bought the Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and used that instead of my felt pad blending tool and I have to say, the coverage is different! I added swirls of Black Soot and edged the tag with it. The edging wasn't as mottled as the felt pad. (I like the mottled look, especially for Halloween) Can't wait to keep playing! Next, I edged the witches in the marker and added Glossy Accents to the back to glue it to the tag. I can barely keep my eyes open this morning, but I completed my tag! Perhaps in the light of the day I might add a few more embellishments to it, but I like its simplicity. This one is made up of a tag, Tim Holtz Halloween paper stash, the witches from Tim Holtz Halloween paper dolls, a Tim Holtz Found Relatives card, Distress markers in Mowed Lawn and Black Soot and Distress ink in Black Soot. My glue of choice (as pretty much always) was Glossy Accents. I traced out my tag onto the skull and crossbones paper and made sure to trace out the top hole. I cut it out and used a standard hole punch to make the hole. I added squiggles of Glossy Accents to the front of my tag and added the cut-out paper then set it aside to dry. The backs of the Found Relatives cards are absolutely gorgeous. I flipped through my stack and found a design I liked on a card I wasn't going to use for anything else. I colored the entire back of the card with Distress Marker in Mowed Lawn. ...

So a little while ago, Tim Holtz had a video showing all of the new Ideal-ology goodies for Christmas. You know me, I bleed orange and black, but one thing in particular made me OOL (ooh out loud). The Vignette Box Tops. When I saw the sweet scenes he made out of Vignette Boxes and those tops...my Halloween vein started throbbing! I ordered them and finally got them Thursday. I was off work yesterday and not feeling well so I created this neat little vignette! Everything used to create this project is Tim Holtz except for the black creepy drape cloth, the glass glitter, and the moss. It all started with larger Vignette box. I cut a piece of Halloween paper to fit the back and edged it in Black Soot Distress ink.  I took the largest box top and traced it out onto a piece of Lost and Found paper stash. I wanted to use a Halloween design, but the paper was just a bit too small. Once I had the box top traced, I cut it out and cut out the little window portion as well. I added B...

I am on a tag spree! This one didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but I can mess with it later and hopefully make it better!
